There were so many things that I took for granted while growing up in India. For example, the peacock. This is inspired by one of my rejuvinated memories from my childhood.
My father was posted at a place and the house we were living in had peacocks flocking the backyard every day. And in the rain they used to open their feathers offering us a beautiful, vibrant and energizing sight. That was the first time I saw peacocks in my life. Fast forward many years, when I got to see these gorgeous birds at Austin Zoo, that brought back old memories and I transposed those on to my canvas.
